ABOUT HOTPEC

HOTPEC Common Initiative Group and HOTPEC Vocational School Born from the agricultural sector of HOTPEC. We decided to grow more in this domain so as not only to engage in sustainable farming practices and organic agriculture to establish the under privileged children but also to uplift the standard of living of farmers, so they can take care of their families, and reduce the rate of abandoned children and orphanhood. All these efforts were to improve the livelihood of the Orphans most especially and to help our rural farmers have a better living standard. The Orphanage has a Common Initiative Group called HOTPEC CIG and a Vocational School called Vocational Institute of Organic Agriculture Research And technology (VIOART) to work directly and coordinate our farming activities, train farmers, students, men and women who can become entrepreneurs and also in processing farm produce. Presently, the orphanage is working with over 300 trained farmers in aquaculture during a World Bank seminar organized by CORAD/WECARD in 2016, coordinated by Prof. Pius Oben at the University of Buea, Cameroon, in partnership with HOTPEC. With each trained farmer, having a training manual. This training led to the decision of going further into Agriculture by creating the VIOART institute that offers short vocational training programs from two weeks to 26 weeks under five main programs, fisheries and applied aquaculture, food processing, crop production, animal production and marketing.
